Senior Mobile Developer

We’re looking for an enthusiastic and experienced mobile developer to join the team and work on our customer facing mobile and iOS based kiosk applications.

Working closely within a small team of other developers, you will be responsible for the delivery of new features to our cross platform mobile application and our iPad based kiosk software.

We use React Native to build our cross platform mobile experiences and are always on the lookout for exceptional and talented developers to make a real difference to the team.

We’re looking for engineers that are:

  • Experienced React and React Native developers.
  • Familiar with modern React concepts, Redux and centralised state management.
  • Highly experienced JavaScript developers
  • Comfortable working with TypeScript.
  • Confident working in the mobile application development environment.
  • CI / CD; process aware.

What you’ll deliver

  • A Mobile application that is focussed on great design and accessibility and provides a first-class user experience that allows our customers and partners to access OneBanks enabled services.
  • Kiosk terminal applications that provide an interface to our customers between their mobile application and physical machines (cash machines and recyclers)
  • Banking grade application security and a commitment to user privacy.
  • Best in class user experiences and interfaces.

Key responsibilities

  • Contribute continual improvements to the existing code bases.
  • Work with other software engineers, product owners and designers to build great user interfaces and experiences.
  • Contribute to the overall team success by researching and learning new skills and sharing your experience with others.
  • Participate in code reviews and mentoring responsibilities. Share your knowledge with colleagues.

About the Engineering team

We’re fully remote working, with occasional trips to kiosks or internal group meeting locations.
We live on Slack, and Google Meet. We do everything online.
We use the latest tools and work approaches, and encourage innovation at every level.

Technology fuels our fire, but we're customer advocates and recognise the responsibility of delivering to those most financially vulnerable in our society. None of our tech stack is fixed though and we always welcome new ideas and regularly experiment with new technologies.
